Friends of Coburn Pond

Friends of Coburn Pond is comprised of volunteers who serve as stewards of this wonderful six-acre swimming hole on Coburn Road in East Montpelier.  Coburn Pond has been a well-loved gathering place for generations, where people have come out to swim in the aquifer-clear water as the seasons allow, and to enjoy various kinds of informal recreation all year round

After years of protecting this popular swimming hole for public access using Vermont’s Act 250 Land Use process, Friends of Coburn Pond is now working to help preserve the pond in perpetuity for swimming and outdoor recreation.

We welcome full participation from neighbors and all stakeholders with the development of a long-term management plan that will support the Town of East Montpelier to conserve the property and protect public access.
